The AC50's are big, powerful all mountain skis for big, powerful skiers that would rather not ski the front sides or groomers. Lots of float and stable is built in but medium to long radius turns are obviously the default...
Looking at the dimensions (72mm waist) does not suggest the agility that the Volkl AC10 brings to the table (or the snow).
Experts only - the Grizzly is a big mountain WEAPON and like Volkl's Tigershark, the dial really works.
The Volkl Attiva Estrella has the same sidecut (almost) as Volkl's Attiva Sol with a slightly slimmer profile make the new Estrella shine in quick turns and agility. while maintaining a stable and solid feel under foot.
Nice easy feel with a balanced flex and performance side cut make the Attiva Sol almost effortless to control. Precise turns at any radius boost the confidence level simply because Volkl's Sol does what you ask it to, and does...
Volkl's Attiva Fuego skis look great and ski just as well. Lively skis with a penchant for speed and aggressive carving. Edge-grip is among the best and turn initiation is top notch, while still being easy to control (stay centered,...
The XM Tornado Ti is one interesting ski! With a 78mm waist and a radius of 16.3m at 173cm, the new Tornado Ti is an expert ski with plenty of guts and grip. Initiation is quicker and shorter arcs are...
The new Salomon XW Storm is a true performance ski that delivers SPEED and EDGE GRIP while still FUN easy to ski, especially to initiate.
The new Equipe 24 Hours from Salomon brings a unique recipe of high performance combined with a wide sweet spot.
With the same side-cut and footprint as the Blackeye, the Atomic Smoke is the slightly easier, softer flexing All Mountain cruiser from Atomics Nomad series.
you cant always judge a book by its cover on this subject.....

Well, I gambled and lost. I was hoping that maybe, just maybe because of how warm it was today, I'd still find some soft bumps tonight. Not so.

Completely awesome blue bird warm weather day, Killington has never skied so well, or at least in recent memory we started the day over on skye hitting ovation and superstar early then over to Killington where we made a quick trip to the summit, cat walk, power line and the royal flush trails were skiing great...

So, I usually take my week skiing at Alta, but this year due to a few things, I was in Vermont. I left on the 27th and drove straight to Cuzzins and Mt. Snow, where my buddies were waiting for me. One lives up there full time and 2 others that I've known for years were there. My one buddy has a big, deep booming voice and 15 years ago would do a Doors Medley with Bruce Jacques, the Cuzzins' regular Sat. night entertainment. So, at one point, (after I downed a number of liquids) I jumped up on...
(had to steal that title)
Sunapee, Waterville, Gunstock... who will have the "least" crowded experience?
(Although the crowds are probably going to be horrendous most anywhere if Sunday is going to be a rainout - things are getting pretty desparate if I am considering skiing on a Saturday!)
thx
